Canberra Old Oak Surgery – NHS 75th Birthday Celebrations
On Wednesday 5th July 2023, the Canberra Old Oak surgery team were delighted to see the huge turnout of patients who joined us in celebrating the NHS’ 75th birthday. More than 100 local residents and community organizations joined us on the day to celebrate. Refreshments were donated by Operose Health, Fulcrum, Ayam Zaman Restaurant, Mleczko Polish bakery and the local Iceland Supermarket. One of our local residents also donated some delicious spring rolls!
Daryl Brown, Deputy Leader of Hammersmith and Fulham Council opened the proceedings and Abu Osman, Regional Manager at Operose Health made a short speech, welcoming everyone and reflecting on the NHS journey over the past 75 years.
We would like to say a very big thank you to Peter Hamm, Canberra’s Patient Participation Group Chair who made this event possible and Agnieszka Jaruga and Abid Khan who worked so very hard to organise this very successful event.
Happy birthday to the NHS!
